March Break Camp

March Break Camp Registration opens December 20th at 9am!

Evergreen’s March Break Camp focuses on exploring the winter forest and ravines in Toronto’s Lower Don Valley. Campers aged 6-12 will venture through the Lower Don Valley, discovering the magical and wild side of nature in the winter.

We’ll track animals through the snow, learn about winter survival strategies from the critters that thrive here, learn to identify edible plants, build shelters and forts, and and craft with ice around the Brick Works campus.

FAQs

What do you do in inclement weather?

We’re outside as much as possible! We love the outdoors at camp and spend as much time outside as we can. That being said, we do always have access to indoor spaces and can spend some time inside in extreme weather, such as thunder, lightning, hail, extreme heat/cold.

Will campers be required to wear masks outdoors?

No, however, campers are highly recommended to wear non-medical masks in all indoor spaces, including washrooms. Please note that we are a mask-friendly space.

We ask you to pack extra non-medical masks or face coverings for your camper. We also have some disposable masks available.

What happens in the event Evergreen cancels camp due to COVID-19?

If Evergreen is forced to cancel camp due to COVID-19, we will notify you via email. Refunds will be issued, less the non-refundable deposit, should Evergreen cancel camp due to changing public health regulations or COVID-19 related closures. Evergreen retains the right to change our refund policy without notice to adapt to the evolving public health situation.

Where can I park?

Evergreen offers a free parking window in all parking lots from 8:45-9:15am and 3:30-5:30pm for every weekday during March Break Camp. If parking outside those hours, you must pay at the meter. Please note that those registered for extended care will receive an after-hours parking pass.

Can my camper be in the same group as their friend?

Building a fun, friendly and accepting group of campers is a key goal for Evergreen camps, and we encourage all campers to build new friendships.

To ensure this, we accept friend requests only if the campers are in the same grade program and session, and we limit the requests to one per camper. Friend requests that are not in the same grade and session group will not be considered. We are unable to guarantee friend requests.

Will lunch be included in the program fees?

Unfortunately, lunch or meal services will not be provided during camp programming. Campers are asked to bring their own nut-free lunch and are encouraged to bring extra nut-free snacks on each day.
