Professional Development for Educators
Professional development workshops for teachers and early childhood educators interested in outdoor learning and play for students.
It’s time to get outside with the children in your life! At our interactive workshops, Kindergarten – Grade 12 teachers and Early Childhood Educators will explore nature-focused and experiential teaching and learning practices. Our workshops will equip you with inquiry and play-based approaches that are easy to implement in any space right away.
Potential areas of focus include:
- Nature Connection Principles & Practices
- Supporting Outdoor Learning in All Seasons
- Loose Parts & Outdoor Spaces
- Risk Management & Risky Play
Find out how outdoor learning enhances physical and mental health, resiliency and social skills, and how these approaches directly support Ontario curriculum and education policies. At the end of the day, you’ll leave with resources to help put your new lessons into action.
Make sure to register for our Outdoor Classroom newsletter for classroom resources, workshops and more. Learn more about our Child Friendly Participatory Design process here.
