Garlic Mini Market at the Evergreen Garden Market (Saturday September 30^th from 9am-2pm)

Garlic lovers rejoice! Ontario Garlic Week begins this Friday and runs till Sunday, October 1^st! The Evergreen Garden Market is hosting a Mini Garlic Market on September 30^th from 9am-2pm. Come celebrate all things garlic! Meet local garlic farmers, stock up on unique garlic varieties, get a free garlic shot from a garlic barista, pose for a picture at our ‘Garlic Heads’ photobooth, and enter our Ontario Garlic Week giveaway! We hope you’ll join us in celebrating the flavours and lore of this unique allium!

Pumpkin Patch & Hay Bale Maze at the Evergreen Garden Market (October 7^th – October 31)

Fall Fair comes to the city! Visit the Evergreen Garden Market and make your way through the Hay Bale Maze. Once you finish the maze, you'll find yourself at a pumpkin patch! We will have specialty pumpkins, gourds, and carving pumpkins for sale.

Free Garlic & Bulb Planting Demo with Jocelyn’s Soil Booster (Saturday, October 14^th)

When the month of October rolls around we start thinking about prepping our garden beds for garlic and bulb planting! Jocelyn from @soilbooster will be joining us to share the secret to growing great garlic and healthy blooms!

An Evening at the Fall Fair (Saturday, October 21^st & Saturday, October 28^th)

Welcome to ‘An Evening at the Fall Fair’! We are extending the Garden Market store hours until 7pm on October 21^st & 28^th so you can enjoy our hay bale maze and pumpkin patch well into the evening. What else will we have on deck? You can load up on tasty treats from The Night Baker, sip on delicious teas from our local vendors, play Giant Jenga and other outdoor games, get your face painted, and enjoy the festive atmosphere of an Evening at the Fall Fair.

Halloween Costume Contest

Come on down to the Evergreen Garden Market dawning your Halloween costumes and enter our Halloween Costume Contest! Enjoy the festive atmosphere of our ‘An Evening at the Fall Fair’ event from 4-7pm! The contest will take place on October 28th at the Evergreen Garden Market from 5-6pm. The contest categories are Sprouts (ages 2-5), Youth (18 and under), Adults (19 and over). Contest winners will receive a $50 store gift card. Winners will be announced at 6pm and will be contacted via email and phone number.

Mini Markets

Local, small businesses are the heart of the Evergreen Garden Market. Come meet your local community of makers and producers at our Mini-Markets on October 1st,14th & 15th from 11am - 2pm! Learn the stories behind the products, participate in free demos and support your local artisans! 

Evergreen Garden Market Potting Station 

The Evergreen Garden Market team is excited to welcome folks to visit the brand-new Potting Station! We invite you to bring your houseplants to the Garden Market for repotting services and houseplant consultations. Have a sick houseplant in need of care? Bring it in! Have a newly purchased houseplant and looking for the perfect pot? Come on over – we can help you repot it! 

How it works: 

Plant consultations are provided for a $5 donation. 

Repotting services are provided for a donation of $10 per plant. 

The Garden Market team can repot a maximum of 3 plants per visit. If you need more than 3 plants repotted, please email gardenmarket@evergreen.ca to schedule an appointment. 

Soil, pots, and other houseplant accessories are an additional charge. 

Jocelyn’s Soil Booster has generously donated their ‘Probiotics for Plants – Worm Manure’ products! A quarter cup will be added to every repotted plant free of charge.
